Week seven of the Derby Thursday Netball League brought another evening of steady competition and strong team performances, with each match contributing to the evolving league table.
Don’t Stop Believing delivered a confident performance against Derby Darlings, securing a 20–3 win. Their control of the game was evident throughout, with consistent passing and accurate shooting helping them maintain momentum. Tianna Thomas stood out during the match, earning Player of the Week for her composed movement and reliable finishing in the shooting circle.
In another fixture, Derby Dolls recorded a 21–4 victory over The Rams. The Dolls demonstrated effective teamwork and clear communication across the court, allowing them to build and maintain a strong lead. The Rams showed determination but found it difficult to break through a well-organised opposition.
The final match of the evening saw The Diagnostix face Destiny’s Childs. The Diagnostix came away with an 18–3 win, supported by solid defensive efforts and efficient shooting. Destiny’s Childs continued to compete throughout the game, but The Diagnostix maintained control to secure the result.
As the season progresses, teams are continuing to develop their play and build consistency.
