Derby Thursday Week 5 - 10/4/26

Week 5 of the Derby Thursday Netball League brought another brilliant evening with plenty of energy, teamwork, and standout moments across the League division.

Don’t Stop Believing delivered an impressive performance, securing a  13–1 win over Destiny’s Childs. From the first whistle, they showed great control and composure, linking up beautifully through the court and making the most of their shooting opportunities. Destiny’s Childs kept battling throughout, but will be looking to regroup and come back stronger in their next fixture.

The clash between The Rams and The Diagnostix was easily one of the most exciting games of the night. Both teams matched each other step for step, with the lead changing hands and neither side willing to give an inch. It was a fast-paced, competitive game filled with great defensive pressure and sharp attacking play. In the end, The Diagnostix just managed to edge ahead, taking a narrow 11–10 win in a thrilling finish that could have gone either way.

In the final match, Derby Darlings faced Derby Dolls, who are quickly making a name for themselves as a strong and consistent side. The Dolls showed great discipline and teamwork, building momentum as the game went on and converting their chances well to secure a 17–5 victory. Derby Darlings showed determination throughout the game.

As we head into the final weeks of the season, the competition is really starting to intensify. Teams are finding their rhythm, results are becoming increasingly important, and every game counts. With performances like these, there’s plenty to look forward to as the league builds towards an exciting conclusion. Stay tuned for more action-packed netball in the weeks ahead!
