The Derby Thursday Netball League season came to a close with a great final week of matches, as teams across the League division enjoyed one last opportunity to showcase their teamwork and progress over the 10-week season. Players and supporters created a fantastic atmosphere, with plenty of spirited performances and positive energy on court throughout the evening.
Diagnostix finished strongly with a 23-0 result against Destiny’s Childs, while Derby Dolls also ended the season on a high with a 28-3 win over The Rams. Both teams demonstrated strong teamwork, communication and determination in their final fixtures.
Another standout match of the night saw Don’t Stop Believing take on Derby Darlings, with Don’t Stop Believing securing a 19-2 victory. The result saw them finish top of the League division with 19 points after an impressive season that included nine wins.
The final week’s Most Valued Player award went to Kyah Brown of Derby Darlings, whose energy, skill and commitment on court made a big impact and earned well-deserved recognition.
As the season wrapped up, every team could look back proudly on their efforts, improvement and sportsmanship across the competition. Congratulations go to Don’t Stop Believing for finishing top of the League division, and well done to all players and teams for contributing to another enjoyable and successful Derby Thursday Netball League season.
