The third week of the season brought about another delightful evening of social netball at Rykneld Sports Centre. The venue was buzzing with excitement, camaraderie, and an atmosphere of inclusivity that welcomed players of all levels of experience. It was truly a testament to the spirit of Back to Netball - encouraging fitness, friendship, and fun through the wonderful sport of netball.

The first match saw Derby Darlings meeting The Rams on the court. After a splendid display of teamwork, positivity and commitment from both sides, the game concluded with The Rams scoring 18, while the Derby Darlings finished the game with a total of 6. Despite the numbers, it was evident that everyone had a fantastic time, with smiles all around.

Next, Don’t Stop Believing played a spirited match against the Derby Dolls. The final whistle saw the Derby Dolls with a score of 12 while Don’t Stop Believing finished with a tally of 7. The game was filled with mutual respect, great sportsmanship, and an uplifting energy that resonated throughout the entire Sports Centre.

The final game of the evening was a match between The Diagnostix and Destiny`s Childs. The game wrapped up with The Diagnostix securing a total of 17, while Destiny`s Childs ended the game with a score of 4. The positive energy was palpable as every player showed their passion and love for the sport.

A special mention goes to the Most Valued Player of the evening, Antonia Pearson from Destiny`s Childs. Her enthusiasm on the court was infectious, and her movements were a spectacle to watch. Antonia's contribution was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, truly embodying the spirit of social netball.

As we look ahead to Week 4, we eagerly anticipate another evening of friendly social netball. It’s not just about keeping active, it’s also about meeting new people, learning new skills, and most importantly, having fun in a supportive environment. We can’t wait to see everyone back on the court next week for another fantastic evening of netball!
