The Rykneld Sports Centre was abuzz with friendly competition and camaraderie on a recent Thursday evening, as Week 2 of the social netball season rolled around. Players of all experience levels took to the court, enjoying a fantastic night of netball in a convivial atmosphere, embodying the true spirit of the game.
The first match saw an invigorating game between the Derby Darlings and the Derby Dolls. The Dolls finished the game with a score of 14-2. Both teams demonstrated remarkable teamwork and commitment, with each player giving their all on the court. The energy was palpable, and it was clear that both teams played with sheer enjoyment and in high spirits.
Next up, The Rams and Destiny`s Childs took to the court in what was another heartening display of sportsmanship. The Rams concluded the game with a score of 22-5. The positive energy radiating from both teams was infectious, making for a thrilling match played in true netball spirit.
Lastly, Don`t Stop Believing and The Diagnostix showcased their skills and camaraderie. With Don`t Stop Believing wrapping up the game with a score of 5-11, both teams played exceptionally well, showing commitment and high energy throughout.
A special mention must be made for the Most Valued Player of the week, Persistence Magaya of Don`t Stop Believing. Persistence's enthusiasm and movement around the court were truly inspiring, and her positive contribution certainly didn't go unnoticed by teammates and opponents alike.
As we look ahead to Week 3, we eagerly anticipate another evening of friendly social netball.
