The new social netball season commenced last week at the beloved Rykneld Sports Centre. The evening was filled with joy and laughter as players of all skill levels eagerly took to the court for Week 1 of the season. The atmosphere was both friendly and encouraging, as the community spirit permeated throughout the event. Everyone was clearly thrilled to be back playing, making it a truly enjoyable evening of social netball.

One of the highlights of the evening was the match between The Rams and The Diagnostix, two well-esteemed teams in the Premier League group. The Rams ended the game with a score of 17-10. However, it wasn't the score that was the primary focus of this delightful game, but the evident camaraderie, commitment and sportsmanship displayed by all the players. Both teams brought an infectious energy to the court, making it an enjoyable game played in a great spirit.

A special mention must be made for the Most Valued Player of the week, Rebecca Knight from Derby Dolls. Rebecca's enthusiasm and movement around the court did not go unnoticed. It was clear that her positive contribution was much appreciated by both her teammates and opponents alike. Her spirit encapsulates the essence of what social netball is all about - fun, teamwork, and camaraderie.
