What a delightful evening of social netball unfolded at Rykneld Sports Centre for Week 6 of the community netball season. Players of all experience levels joined together in a welcoming atmosphere, sharing laughs, friendly competition and, most importantly, the love of netball.
The first match of the evening saw Don't Stop Believing play against Derby Darlings. With a final score of 20-2, Don't Stop Believing showcased their tireless commitment to the sport and their strong teamwork. Derby Darlings displayed an abundance of positive energy and sportsmanship, with every player leaving the court with a smile.
The second game of the night featured The Rams and Derby Dolls. The Dolls finished the match with a score of 19-3, reflecting their synchronised movement and ball skills. The Rams, on the other hand, showed resilience and tenacity, embodying the spirit of friendly competition that social netball is all about.
The third match between Destiny`s Childs and The Diagnostix ended with a scoreline of 17-5. Destiny`s Childs showcased their netball skills in a supportive environment, whilst The Diagnostix showed their determination and strength.
A special mention goes to this week's Most Valued Player, Genevieve Waldron from The Rams. Her enthusiasm and movement around the court were a joy to watch, and her positive contributions were appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.
As we look ahead to Week 7, we anticipate another welcoming evening of friendly social netball.
