Derby Thursday Netball League's opening week saw a flurry of exciting matches in the division, with teams showcasing their skills in a frenzied start to the season.

In the tightly-contested Division, the Derby Dolls pulled off a nail-biter against The Diagnostix, clinching a 10-8 victory in a pulsating encounter. The game was marked by the sensational performance of Stephanie Lou, who was instrumental in the Dolls' win and was rightfully declared as the most valued player of the week.

Rykneld's Finest, another team in the division, made a strong statement against Destiny`s Childs, registering a resounding 19-8 win. This performance sets an early tone for the season and puts a target on Rykneld's Finest as the team to beat.

Not to be outdone, Don`t Stop Believing trounced The Rams with a scoreline of 16-3, demonstrating their offensive prowess and solid defense. They are expected to be a tough team to contend with as the season progresses.

The first week of the season gave us a glimpse of the exciting action to come in the division of the Derby Thursday Netball League. With the top scorers for each team already making a mark, the stage is set for an enthralling season and we await the next round of matches with bated breath.
