As the sun set over Rutland Sports Park, the air was filled with excitement and laughter. It was Week 10 of the social netball season and the atmosphere was as warm and welcoming as ever. Players of all experience levels took to the court, embodying the spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie.

In the first match of the evening, the Shooting Stars took on the One Hit Wonders. The One Hit Wonders finished the game leading at 11-4, their positivity and enthusiasm setting the tone for an enjoyable game. Not to be outdone, the Shooting Stars showed us how a love for the game can truly shine.

The second match saw Shoot Your Shot face off against the Pivoters. With a final tally of 16-8, Shoot Your Shot demonstrated the power of unity and dedication. The Pivoters, as always, played with heart and showed us all how much fun netball can be.

Finally, the Defend Divas and Rutland Rebels played out an energetic game. Defend Divas wrapped up the game with a score of 11-6, showcasing impressive teamwork and sportsmanship throughout. Their commitment was mirrored by the Rutland Rebels, who despite the score line, displayed positive energy and enjoyed the game in great spirit.

Our special mention this week goes to the Most Valued Player, Gemma Howell from the Shooting Stars. Gemma’s graceful movement around the court, her unwavering enthusiasm, and her positive contribution were appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, truly embodying the spirit of social netball.

The One Hit Wonders completed the season at the top with 18 points and an impressive nine wins. Their consistency, teamwork, and positive attitude throughout the season made them deserving champions.

As the ten-week season comes to an end, it’s a great opportunity to recognise the effort, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm shown by every team involved. The night has once again provided an enjoyable and competitive environment for players and supporters alike, with plenty of exciting matches and standout performances along the way.

As we look ahead to Week 11, we're excited for another evening of friendly social netball, where we can stay active, meet new people and further develop our netball skills in a supportive environment. As we wrap up the final week of the season, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants. A warm mention goes out to the One Hit Wonders who have led the way this season.
