Tuesday evening, our vibrant Rutland Sports Park came alive with the thrilling sound of Sneakers versus Netball, marking Week 7 of our social netball season. It was an evening filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the spirit of good sportsmanship as players of all levels took to the court, their shared love for the game lighting up the park.

The first game saw the Pivoters come together with the Defend Divas. With a final score of 11-6 in favor of Defend Divas, it was indeed a riveting game. Both teams displayed exceptional teamwork and commitment, the positive energy flowing on the court was palpable.

Next up, Rutland Rebels matched up against the One Hit Wonders. While the One Hit Wonders wrapped up their game with a score of 18-3, the energy on the court was infectious. The spirit of the game was kept soaring high, with both teams showcasing commendable sportsmanship.

The final game of the evening was between Shoot Your Shot and the Shooting Stars. It was a fantastic game with Shoot Your Shot showing a final score of 24-1. The team spirit, enthusiastic cheers and the overall joy of playing the game was evident in every move.

The evening also had a special star shining bright, Elisha Cousins from Shooting Stars. Elisha was recognized as the Most Valued Player of the week. Her enthusiasm, nimble movement around the court, and positive contribution were appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.

As we look forward to Week 8, we remain excited for the next evening of friendly social netball. It's more than just a game, it's about keeping active, meeting new people, and developing netball skills in a supportive environment.
