The sixth week of our friendly social netball season was a delightful evening of camaraderie and sportsmanship at Rutland Sports Park in Ilkeston. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy as both experienced and novice players came together for a fantastic night of netball. The emphasis, as always, was on fun, enjoyment, and fostering a sense of community.

Our first match of the evening saw Pivoters and Rutland Rebels come together in a spirited display of netball. The game ended with Rutland Rebels registering a final score of 10-6. The game was marked by a high level of teamwork and enthusiasm from both teams, making it a joy to watch.

Next, One Hit Wonders and Shoot Your Shot took to the court in a game full of positive energy. The final whistle saw One Hit Wonders leading the scoreline with 13-9. Despite the scores, the real winner was the sport of netball, as all players showed great sportsmanship and a shared love for the game.

Defend Divas and Shooting Stars wrapped up the evening with a spirited display of netball. The final score was 7-2 in favour of Shooting Stars, but the scoreline didn't tell the whole story. Both teams displayed remarkable teamwork and commitment throughout the game, in what was an enjoyable match played in great spirit.

The Most Valued Player of the week was Rosie Lambert from Shoot Your Shot. Rosie's enthusiasm and movement around the court were commendable. Her positive contribution to the game was highly appreciated by both her teammates and opponents, a true embodiment of the spirit of social netball.

As we look ahead to Week 7, we are excited about another evening of friendly social netball. This is a chance for everyone to keep active, meet new people, and develop their netball skills in a supportive and positive environment. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, there's a place for everyone at our Back to Netball evenings. So, let's keep the spirit alive and see you all next week!
