Ilkeston Tuesday Netball - Week 5

On a delightfully crisp evening, Rutland Sports Park played host to an enjoyable evening of social netball to remember as we moved into Week 5 of the season. The park buzzed with an encouraging atmosphere, as players of all experience levels, from first-timers to seasoned veterans, enjoyed an uplifting night of camaraderie and netball under the stars.

In the first match up of the Division 1 group, Rutland Rebels and Defend Divas brought their A-game, demonstrating a spectacular display of teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship. The game concluded in high spirits with Defend Divas finishing with a score of 5-4 - a testament to the positive energy that defined the evening.

Meanwhile, Pivoters and Shoot Your Shot shared the court in a game that showcased the essence of friendly competition and love for the sport. With a final score of 16-6 in favor of Shoot Your Shot, both teams left the court with heads held high, reflecting on an enjoyable game played with remarkable spirit.

A special mention this week goes to Megan Crate from One Hit Wonders. Her tireless movement around the court and unwavering enthusiasm made her a standout on the field. Megan's positive contribution was appreciated by both her teammates and opponents alike, making her well deserving of the Most Valued Player accolade.

As we look ahead to Week 6, we can't wait for another thrilling evening of social netball. Whether it's about keeping active, meeting new people, or developing netball skills, we're excited to see everyone returning and new faces joining us.
