Ilkeston Tuesday Netball Update 26th May

The Ilkeston Tuesday Netball came to an exciting close this week, with a fantastic final round of matches and plenty of memorable moments to celebrate.

The Pivoters finished the season as champions after a closely contested  5-6 loss against Defend Divas in the final week. Both teams showed great determination and teamwork in a match that kept everyone engaged right to the final whistle.

Elsewhere, Shoot Your Shot secured a 9-5 win against Shooting Stars, while One Hit Wonders narrowly edged past Rutland Rebels in another closely fought contest, finishing 6-5.

A special mention goes to Liane Ramsell of Rutland Rebels, who was named the league’s most valued player this week. Liane delivered an outstanding individual performance, showing great skill, effort, and commitment on court, and was a real credit to her team throughout the night.

The Pivoters completed the season at the top with 16 points and an impressive eight wins. Their consistency, teamwork, and positive attitude throughout the season made them deserving champions.

As the ten-week season comes to an end, it’s a great opportunity to recognise the effort, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm shown by every team involved. The night has once again provided an enjoyable and competitive environment for players and supporters alike, with plenty of exciting matches and standout performances along the way.

Congratulations to The Pivoters on their title win, and thank you to all players, umpires, and supporters who helped make the season such a success. We’re already looking forward to another great season of Ilkeston Tuesday Netball starting next week.
