Ilkeston Tuesday Netball Update 19th May

Week 9 of the Ilkeston Tuesday Netball delivered another exciting evening of action, with every team showing great determination, teamwork, and competitive spirit out on court.

The first match of the evening featured Shooting Stars against Pivoters, with Pivoters claiming a hard-earned 10–8 victory. It was another closely fought game, highlighting the commitment and resilience shown by all teams across the night.

One of the closest games of the night saw the Rutland Rebels take on the Defend Divas in a tightly contested match that could have gone either way. After a fantastic battle from start to finish, the Defend Divas edged a narrow 11–10 victory. Despite the result, the Rebels can take plenty of positives from their performance, with Chantelle Hunt standing out to earn this week’s Most Valued Player award thanks to her excellent effort and influence throughout the game.

Elsewhere, Shoot Your Shot produced a strong team performance to secure a 9–5 win over One Hit Wonders. Both sides showed great organisation and determination, but Shoot Your Shot managed to build momentum and maintain their advantage during an entertaining contest.

This week’s results once again underline how competitive and evenly matched the night has become as the season progresses.

With week 10 just around the corner, there is still plenty to play for, and teams will be looking to carry this momentum forward into another exciting round of fixtures.
