Week 8 of the Tuesday night Ilkeston Netball brought another enjoyable round of matches, with teams across the divisions continuing to show great determination, teamwork and competitive spirit as the season approaches its final weeks.
Defend Divas faced One Hit Wonders in a well-fought contest. Despite the result ending 9-3 in favour of One Hit Wonders, Defend Divas continued to battle throughout and produced some positive passages of play. Andrea Sims was a standout performer on the night, earning the title of Most Valued Player for her excellent effort, skill and leadership on court.
Rutland Rebels also impressed with a 9-1 victory over Shooting Stars. Their strong teamwork and organised play helped them secure an important win as they continue to build momentum heading into the closing stages of the season.
Another entertaining fixture saw Pivoters overcome Shoot Your Shot 14-10 in a lively and competitive match. Both teams played with great energy and commitment, making it an exciting game for everyone involved.
With only two weeks remaining in the season, every match continues to play an important role in the standings, adding even more excitement to the competition. Teams are continuing to develop week by week, and the standard of netball on display remains high.
As players and supporters look ahead to the next round of fixtures, there is plenty to look forward to with more competitive games, standout performances and memorable moments still to come in the Ilkeston Tuesday Netball.
