Leicester Sunday Social Netball Update 7th April

In the latest fixtures of the Leicester Sunday Social Netball League held at Avanti Fields, teams gathered once again for a day of spirited competition and sportsmanship. There were a few teams that were short of players this Sunday but we are hoping that a lot of players will be returning over the next couple of weeks so we should be at full strength.

The match between Stealing Passes and Game Of Throws kicked off the day, with Game Of Throws emerging victorious with a 12-7 win. Despite the loss, Jilly Kay from Stealing Passes put in an exceptional performance, earning her the Player of the Match award for her team.

Untouchables faced a tough challenge against Netchicks, who secured a dominant 18-3 victory to maintain their unbeaten record in the league. Netchicks displayed their prowess on both ends of the court, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive resilience.

Champion Chasers clashed with Foxes in an exciting encounter, with Champion Chasers emerging triumphant with a 17-8 win. Tracey Ashton from Foxes stood out with an outstanding performance, earning her the Player of the Match accolade despite the loss.

The match of the evening featured Pimp My Stride against Goal Diggers, with both teams putting up a closely contested fight. In the end, Goal Diggers emerged victorious with an 8-3 win, showcasing their determination and teamwork on the court.

As the league progresses, Netchicks lead the table with a perfect record after four matches. However, Pimp My Stride, Goal Diggers, and Game Of Throws are close behind with six points each, just two points adrift from the leaders, setting the stage for an exciting and competitive season ahead.

The Leicester Sunday Social Netball League continues to provide a welcoming and enjoyable platform for players to showcase their skills, foster camaraderie, and compete in a friendly and supportive environment.
