In an adrenaline-pumping night of sportsmanship, the Premier League of the Leicester Sunday Social Netball League witnessed an array of exhilarating performances during its 6th week. The matches were filled with passion, strategy, and an incredible display of teamwork showcasing the best of netball.
Can we remind all teams that they need to be ready to start at their alloted time as we are having issues with players arriving dead on time, then taking 5 to 10 minutes to get ready meaning that all matches are then running late. This is especially happening for the 5pm match so please can we ensure we are there on time from now on.
This week we sat Netchicks taking on Stealing Passes, with both teams putting up a teriffic performance. Netchicks managed to edge out a victory with a final score of 7-5, demonstrating their determination and prowess on the court.
Pimp My Stride and Game of Throws served up a thrilling game, with Pimp My Stride taking the victory 18-10. Their relentless attack and quick on-court movements had Game of Throws on the back foot throughout the match.
Goal Diggers demonstrated their defensive prowess, restricting Foxes to just 3 goals while managing to score 13 of their own. The Diggers’ perfect blend of defensive stability and attacking proficiency made them an unstoppable force.
Despite the week’s losses, the Premier League saw a star in Apna Thakrar from the Untouchables. Thakrar’s performance was a testament to their skill, earning them the title of the Most Valued Player of the week. Their individual brilliance shone through, showing that even in defeat, true talent can never be overshadowed.
