Play in the Rugeley Tuesday Netball league powered by You Play Netball

What a wonderful night of social netball we had at Rugeley Leisure Centre! Week 12 of our season saw players of all experience levels coming together for an evening of fun, fitness, and friendly competition. With a welcoming atmosphere radiating throughout the centre, the spirit of camaraderie was strongly felt amongst all present.

In our first match of the night, Phoenix Reds and Rugeley Roses took to the court. The game ended with a score of 25-8 in favour of the Phoenix Reds, but the result was by no means the highlight of the match. The real takeaway was the palpable sense of teamwork from both sides, their unwavering commitment, and the positive energy that permeated the court. Both teams played an enjoyable game, truly embodying the spirit of social netball.

Next up, Rugeley Warriors and Rugeley Rebels faced off in a game filled with sportsmanship. Rugeley Warriors completed the match with a scoreline of 16-8, but it was the spirit of the game that left a lasting impression. Players from both sides demonstrated impressive commitment, and the game was played in high spirits.

The match between The Original Lions and Rugeley Rangers saw a final score of 22-10 for the Rangers. The energy, teamwork, and commitment displayed by both teams was commendable, making it an enjoyable game for all involved.

Lastly, Rockets and Rugeley Divas competed in a well-spirited match that ended with a scoreline of 10-6 for the Rockets. As always, the game was a testament to the positive energy and sportsmanship that embodies our social netball nights.

A special mention must go to Norah Ward from Rugeley Roses, who was voted as the Most Valued Player of the week. Her enthusiasm and movement around the court did not go unnoticed, her positive contribution on and off the court was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.

Looking ahead to Week 13, we eagerly anticipate another evening of friendly social netball. With only two weeks of matches left, we invite anyone who's been considering joining to come along and experience the fun of social netball. It's a fantastic way to keep active, meet new people, and develop your netball skills in a supportive and friendly environment. Here’s to more evenings filled with sportsmanship, teamwork, and, most importantly, fun!
