The Rugeley Leisure Centre was a hive of activity as our social netball friends gathered for the tenth week of our friendly netball season. The atmosphere was electric with a mix of laughter, camaraderie, and the buzz of friendly competition. Players of all experience levels were part of the action, showcasing the beauty and inclusivity of netball.
Our first match of the evening saw Phoenix Reds and Rugeley Warriors take to the court. It was a game filled with energy and skill, with Phoenix Reds finishing the game with a score of 14-9. Despite the score difference, the spirit of the game was upheld with both teams demonstrating outstanding teamwork and commitment.
The Original Lions and Rugeley Roses took up the challenge next. Played in a great spirit of sportsmanship, The Original Lions managed to etch out an 11-8 victory. Rugeley Roses, while not topping the score, certainly won in terms of positive energy and team cohesion.
The final game of the evening saw Rugeley Divas and Rugeley Rangers demonstrate their skills on the court. With a final score of 21-6 in favour of Rugeley Rangers, the game was a celebration of netball, demonstrating the importance of teamwork and mutual respect.
A special mention this week goes to Josie Hillier of the Rugeley Roses. Her enthusiasm and movement around the court were exemplary, making a positive contribution that was appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.
As we look ahead to Week 11, we can't wait for another evening of friendly social netball. We're excited to see everyone continue to keep active, meet new people, and develop their netball skills in a supportive environment.
