Play in the Rugeley Tuesday Netball league powered by You Play Netball

On a fine Tuesday evening, the Rugeley Leisure Centre came alive with the sound of laughter, chatter, and the friendly whir of netball action. It was Week 5 of the season and players of all experience levels joined together for a wonderful evening of social netball. The atmosphere was encouraging and vibrant, fostering a sense of camaraderie that is a hallmark of the sport.

The evening kicked off with an energetic game between the Rugeley Roses and Phoenix Reds. The commitment and positive energy from both teams were palpable as they manoeuvred around the court. The Phoenix Reds, with a final score of 30, showed their netball skills but the Rugeley Roses, with 7 points, displayed an undying spirit, making it an enjoyable game for all involved.

In the next match, Rugeley Rebels and Rugeley Warriors shared the court. Both teams demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship and a shared love for the game. The Rugeley Warriors completed the game with a score of 18 against the Rugeley Rebels' score of 8, but both teams displayed a great love for the sport, creating a fun and supportive atmosphere.

Rugeley Rangers and The Original Lions brought a high energy to the court, embodying the essence of Back to Netball with their can-do attitudes. The Rangers ended the game with a score of 20 while The Original Lions scored 8, and both teams left the court with smiles and good spirits.

The final match of the evening saw Rugeley Divas and Rockets showcasing their netball skills, with the Divas taking away a score of 10 and the Rockets achieving 6. Each player on both teams showed tireless commitment and an admirable love for the game.

A special mention must go to our Most Valued Player for the week, Josie Hillier from the Rugeley Roses. Josie's enthusiasm, skill and movement around the court were exemplary, and her positive contribution was appreciated by her teammates and opponents alike.

As we look towards Week 6 and another evening of friendly social netball, we celebrate the spirit of our players who are not just keeping active but also meeting new people and developing their netball skills in a supportive environment. We can't wait to see you all back on the court next week to continue this wonderful sporting journey together.
