Not to be outdone, Rockets seized their chance under the floodlights, propelling themselves to a convincing 17-9 victory against the Rugeley Roses. The Roses fought hard but couldn’t quite match the Rockets' fire power.
The nail-biter of the night came from The Original Lions and Rugeley Warriors. The Lions, showing their tenacity and sportsmanship, eked out a narrow 8-7 win over the Warriors. It was a contest that kept spectators on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.
The crown jewel of the week was the exceptional performance from Joanna Ponsonby of The Original Lions, who was deservedly named as the most valued player of the week. Ponsonby's exceptional skills and unmatched determination played a pivotal role in her team’s narrow win, making her a standout performer in the league.
While we laud the individual brilliance of Ponsonby, we also commend the collective effort of the top-scoring teams in each division. This week saw the Rockets soaring high in the League, with the highest team total of 17 goals.
