It was a wonderful evening of friendly social netball at RGS Dodderhill Droitwich for Week 2 of the season. A welcoming atmosphere enveloped the courts as players of various experience levels came together for an exhilarating night of netball. The spirit of camaraderie was palpable as teams from the Division 1 group engaged in friendly competition.
In the first match, Droitwich Devils and Droitwich Diamonds shared an energetic and closely contested game. The Devils showcased their teamwork and dedication, finishing the game with a score of 22, while the Diamonds, brimming with positivity and enthusiasm, ended with a score of 1. It was a delightful game played in true sportsmanship, with both teams demonstrating commitment and positive energy.
Monday Misfits and Rogue Angels came together in the second match of the evening. The Misfits, exhibiting strong teamwork and dedication, completed the game with a score of 14. The Rogue Angels, despite finishing with 8, were commendable in their spirit, positive energy, and the sportsmanship they displayed throughout the game.
A special mention goes to Emily Turton from Rogue Angels, who was rightfully recognised as the Most Valued Player of the week. Her enthusiasm was infectious and her movement around the court impressive. Emily's positive contribution was highly appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.
As we look ahead to Week 3, anticipation is already building for another evening of friendly social netball. It will be another opportunity for everyone to stay active, meet new people, and develop their netball skills in a supportive and friendly environment.
