With the welcoming atmosphere and players of all experience levels, the first week of the social netball season at RGS Dodderhill Droitwich was an absolute delight. As the sun set, the court became a hub of activity, with teams coming together for a fantastic evening of social netball, showcasing wonderful teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship.

The first match of the evening saw the Droitwich Diamonds and the Monday Misfits share the court. A game full of energy and positive spirit, the Misfits ended their night with a score of 18-4. Despite the score line, the Diamonds played with heart, demonstrating their flair and passion for the game. There was plenty of laughter and cheering, reflecting the true essence of social netball.

The following match saw the Droitwich Devils lock horns with the Rogue Angels. The final whistle saw the Angels score 19 to the Devils' 12. The Devils exhibited great tenacity and teamwork, whilst the Angels showed an excellent understanding of the game with their quick passes and sharp shooting. The game was played in wonderful spirit, and it was evident that everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

One player who caught everyone's eye throughout the evening was Kelly Broadfield from Droitwich Diamonds. Kelly was named the Most Valued Player of the week, recognised for her infectious enthusiasm and fantastic movement around the court. Her positive contributions were appreciated by both her teammates and opponents, further enhancing the friendly atmosphere of the evening.

As we look ahead to Week 2, everyone is excited for another evening of friendly social netball. This weekly get-together is a great way for everyone to keep active, meet new people, and develop netball skills in a supportive environment. With the social netball season just starting, we warmly welcome players getting back into netball and look forward to seeing the growth and camaraderie continue. After all, in our social netball community, every player is a star, and every game is a celebration of this wonderful sport.
