The social netball season has just begun, and Monday was a testament to the spirit of the game. The atmosphere was inviting and electric at Droitwich Spa High School & Sixth Form, with Week 1 of the season off to a fantastic start. Players of all experience levels were welcomed into the fold, turning the evening into a delightful celebration of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The first match of the Division 1 group saw the Rogue Angels and the Droitwich Devils take to the court. The friendly competition ended with a score of 4-2 in favor of Droitwich Devils. The game was a lively showcase of positive energy and commitment, with each player contributing equally and engaging in a friendly banter that echoed the true essence of social netball.

The second match of the evening brought the Monday Misfits and Droitwich Diamonds toe-to-toe. The game concluded with a thrilling draw of 11 - 11, a testament to the evenly matched skill and determination of both teams. The camaraderie, team spirit, and smiles on the court emphasized the enjoyable nature of the game, reflecting the true spirit of Back to Netball.

A special mention goes out to Shibrana Miles from Rogue Angels, who was recognised as the Most Valued Player of the week. Shibrana's continuous enthusiasm and vibrant movement around the court did not go unnoticed. Her positive contribution was appreciated by teammates and adversaries alike, and her spirit truly embodied what social netball is all about.

Looking ahead to Week 2, we welcome everyone to another evening of friendly social netball.
