An enjoyable evening of social netball occurred in Droitwich this past Monday, marking Week 5 of the season. The air was filled with a welcoming atmosphere, as players of all experience levels came together for a great night of netball, displaying a camaraderie that truly embodied the essence of social sport.
The first game was between the Rogue Angels and Droitwich Diamonds. There was a remarkable display of teamwork from both sides, ending the game with a score of 18-12 in favour of the Rogue Angels. All players, regardless of the outcome, left the court with smiles, reflecting an evening well spent, filled with friends, fitness, and fun.
The match between Droitwich Devils and Monday Misfits was a testament to the spirit of the sport. The Devils ended the game with a score of 21, while the Misfits added one to their tally. Despite the scoreboard, both teams demonstrated an incredible commitment, positive energy, and great sportsmanship throughout the game. Their teamwork and mutual respect for each other made it an enjoyable game played in the best spirit of the sport.
The evening wouldn't be complete without a special mention to the Most Valued Player of the week - Leigh Humphreys from Monday Misfits. Leigh's enthusiasm and movement around the court were unmatched, contributing to the positive atmosphere of the game. Both teammates and opponents alike appreciated Leigh's spirit and contribution to the evening.
