Droitwich Spa Monday Netball League - Week 6

An enjoyable evening of friendly social netball marked Week 6 of the season at Droitwich Spa High School & Sixth Form. The welcoming atmosphere was palpable as the first whistle blew, with players of all experience levels joining the fun. The event beautifully encapsulated the spirit of "Back to Netball," focusing on the love for the game rather than the scoreboard.

In the first match, Rogue Angels and Monday Misfits explored the court with contagious energy. With every pass, shot, and call, the two teams displayed heartening teamwork and commitment. The game finished with a score of 24-14 in favour of the Rogue Angels. But the score aside, both teams were winners in their own right, playing an enjoyable game filled with sportsmanship and camaraderie.

The evening was further brightened by Georgia Tryner from Monday Misfits, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Her enthusiasm on the field and her movement around the court left everyone in awe. Her positive contribution on and off the court was appreciated by both teammates and opponents alike, making her the heart and soul of the evening.

As we approach Week 7, we look forward to another evening of friendly social netball. The aim is not just about getting active, but also about meeting new people, developing our netball skills in a supportive and friendly environment.

Finally, as we approach the final week of the season, we want to express a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and made this season a memorable one. A warm mention goes to Droitwich Devils, who have led the Division 1 group this season with their unwavering commitment to the game. We celebrate and applaud all the teams for their enthusiasm and love for the game, making netball nights a joy to be part of. Regardless of the score, every player and every team has shown us the true spirit of netball.
