Dursley Sunday Netball League - Week 1

The Dursley Sunday Netball League kicked off its season in a thrilling fashion last night, with teams from the League demonstrating the spirit of competitive sportsmanship.

In the League, the Rednock N Roll team made a solid start, triumphing over Nock-tails with a 9-3 victory. The team showcased their exceptional skills and team play, setting a high bar for the rest of the season. However, despite the result, Nock-tails showed moments of brilliance and are expected to come back stronger in the upcoming weeks.

In a closely fought contest, the Dursley Dolls edged out the Cherry Bombs with a 8-5 win. The match was a nail-biter, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats until the very end. Despite the result, the Cherry Bombs put up a commendable fight, demonstrating their potential to be formidable competitors in the league.

The highlight of the week was the outstanding performance of Claire Wooldridge of the Cherry Bombs. Wooldridge's performance on the court was nothing short of spectacular, earning her the title of the most valued player of the week. Her skill and determination were evident and will undoubtedly be a key asset for the Cherry Bombs in their future games.

As the season has just begun, there's a lot more excitement to come in the Dursley Sunday Netball League.
