In an adrenaline-packed week at the Nantwich Thursday Netball League. The grit and tenacity of the teams were on full display, proving once again why this is considered the top-tier division of the league.
The Goal Getters made their mark with a resounding 14-5 victory over Call The Shots. Showcasing their strategic defence, the Goal Getters displayed a performance that set the tone for the evening.
Another nail-biter was the match between Hoop There It Is! and Court Slayers, which saw the former clinch a narrow 8-6 victory. It was a neck-and-neck race right up until the final whistle, displaying the competitive spirit of both teams.
Meanwhile, Old Schoolers triumphed over Red Falcons with a score line of 12-6, demonstrating their superior game plan and execution. However, the biggest landslide of the night was delivered by We Don’t Give A Shot who beat Wildcats 14-0, a score that surely sends a warning to their future opponents.
The star of the night, however, was Millie Lightfoot from Court Slayers. Her spirit and outstanding performance throughout the game earned her the title of Most Valued Player of the week. Lightfoot’s excellent game control, precise playing and tactical brilliance were a sight to behold, making her a standout amongst the top performers in the League.
As we move into Week 9, the excitement continues to build. With such dynamic players and fiercely competitive teams, the Nantwich Thursday Netball league is set to host more thrilling games in the coming weeks.
