Play in the Nantwich Thursday Netball League
League not on next week due to a careers event taking place at the school.
Week nine of the Nantwich Thursday Netball League delivered another enjoyable round of matches, with teams showing strong teamwork, commitment, and steady improvement across the league.
One of the closest games of the night saw Call The Shots narrowly overcome We Don’t Give A Shot with an 8–7 win. Both teams demonstrated great coordination and determination, making it a well-matched and entertaining contest that reflected the competitive but friendly spirit of the league.
Wildcats also secured a solid 8–6 victory over Shots And Giggles in a lively match, continuing to show their consistency and enthusiasm on court.
A particularly impressive result came from Court Slayers, who recorded a convincing 23–2 win against Red Falcons. Their strong teamwork and controlled play made for a standout performance this week.
In another fixture, Winging It enjoyed a positive evening with a 30–2 win over Hoop There It Is!. Despite the result, Hoop There It Is! had plenty to be proud of, with My Lee Pratt named most valued player of the week for her effort, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the match.
As week nine of the Nantwich Thursday League comes to a close, teams will be looking ahead to the next set of fixtures with confidence and focus. The league continues to develop nicely, and we look forward to seeing how the season unfolds.
