What a delightful evening it was at Plantsbrook School! The third week of our social netball season was absolutely brimming with camaraderie, energetic gameplay, and an atmosphere that was welcoming to players of all experience levels. The social nature of our netball nights was in full effect, with everyone truly having a memorable night.
In the Premier League group, the Sutton Ballers and Boldmere Ballers created an electric atmosphere with their friendly competition. Both teams showcased excellent commitment and teamwork. The match ended with a balanced score of 7-7, highlighting the evenly matched skills and sportsmanship. The players' positive energy was infectious, making the game a joy to watch for everyone, and a testament to the spirit of the game.
The next match featured the teams Ball Me Maybe and Shot And Bothered. They played an enjoyable game that ended with Ball Me Maybe scoring 11 goals to Shot And Bothered's 4. The game was a wonderful display of shared respect and sportsmanship. Every goal was met with cheers, and every miss with encouraging words, a testament to the positive atmosphere that our social netball nights promote.
Our Most Valued Player of the week was Michaela James from Shot And Bothered. Throughout the game, her enthusiasm was palpable. She moved around the court with agility and purpose, always seeking to make a positive contribution. Both her teammates and opponents appreciated her spirit, and her play was a masterclass in friendly competitiveness.
As we look forward to Week 4 of our social netball nights, we eagerly anticipate another evening of friendly competition, keeping active, meeting new people, and developing our netball skills in a supportive environment. At Plantsbrook School, every player, regardless of experience or skill level, is welcomed with open arms. After all, it's not just about the game, it's about the friends we make along the way.
