Community spirit was ablaze at Plantsbrook School this week for Week 2 of our social netball season. The evening was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and of course, plenty of netball. With a diverse range of experience levels on display, from seasoned players to enthusiastic beginners, the atmosphere was one of encouragement, support, and shared enjoyment of the game.
The first match of the evening saw Diamonds In The Rough and Boldmere Ballers sharing the court. The game concluded with Boldmere Ballers scoring 13 goals to Diamonds In The Rough's 2. Both teams demonstrated fantastic teamwork and commitment, their positive energy permeating the court. Despite the score difference, the true essence of social netball was apparent as each player enjoyed the game in great spirit.
In the second match, Sutton Ballers and Ball Me Maybe showcased a dynamic game. Sutton Ballers ended up with 20 goals, while Ball Me Maybe finished with 9. The game was a great display of sportsmanship, with both teams encouraging each other throughout. Their positive energy was contagious, making for an engaging and enjoyable game.
A special shoutout goes to Saja Abdallah from Diamonds In The Rough, who was recognized as the Most Valued Player of the week. Saja was the epitome of enthusiasm and positive contribution. Her movement around the court was applauded by her teammates and opponents alike - a true testament to what being part of a social netball community means.
Looking ahead to Week 3, we're excited for another evening of friendly social netball.
