What a delightful evening it was at Plantsbrook School last Tuesday! Week 2 of our social netball season, and the camaraderie was palpable with players of all experience levels coming together for a rousing night of netball. The energy was positively electric, and the sense of community was stronger than ever.
The first match witnessed Shot And Bothered playing against Ball Me Maybe. The game ended with Ball Me Maybe scoring 5 goals against Shot And Bothered. It was truly a match where teamwork stole the show. Every player on the court gave their all, demonstrating immense commitment and sportsmanship. The positive energy of the players was infectious, overall making it an enjoyable game played in the best of spirit.
Next up were Kiss My Pass and Diamonds In The Rough. Diamonds In The Rough emerged with 5 goals against Kiss My Pass in a game marked by commitment and a great deal of camaraderie. The players from both teams put up a wonderful display of sportsmanship and teamwork. The game was played with such positive energy that it was an absolute pleasure to witness.
A special mention must go to the Most Valued Player of the week, Haleema Zaman from Diamonds In The Rough. Haleema's enthusiasm was contagious, and her movement around the court was truly something to behold. Her positive contribution to the game was not just appreciated by her teammates but also by the opponents. It is players like Haleema who embody the true spirit of social netball.
Looking forward, we can't wait to see what Week 3 brings us. We’re excited for another evening of friendly social netball, keeping active, meeting new people, and developing our netball skills in a supportive environment. We encourage everyone to keep up the good work and continue to play with the same spirit. Let's make this season of social netball the best one yet!
