Play in the Worcester Monday social netball League

Opening the eighth week of this season at the Perdiswell Leisure Centre, a delightful evening of social netball unfolded. The welcoming atmosphere reverberated across the court with players of varied experience levels enthusiastically participating in the sporting festivity. A great sense of camaraderie and spirit prevailed, making the games enjoyable for everyone involved.

In Division 1, the Goal Bladders and No Direction engaged in a spirited game, with Goal Bladders concluding the game with 13 points to 7. Both teams showcased commendable teamwork, commitment and sportsmanship. Meanwhile, Worcester Sauces and Court Queens locked horns in an exciting match, which saw Worcester Sauces finishing with a well-deserved 16-14. The players' positive energy and the cheerful spirit of the game were a delight to witness. Wrapping up this division, Manic Mondays and Weakest Link added to the enjoyable evening, with Weakest Link earning 12 points to 4.

The Division 2 matches brought the same level of excitement. Worcester Wonders and The Oak Apple Catchers played to an 8-8 draw, showcasing their skills in a friendly match filled with positive energy. Wildcats faced off against Perdiswell Shooters with the match finishing 12-14 in favour of the Shooters. Closing the Division 2 games, Worcester Ladies played against Hot Shots, with Hot Shots earning a well-played 17-7 victory.

A special mention must go to Becky Hoyle of Manic Mondays, the Most Valued Player this week. Her energy, enthusiasm and movement around the court were truly inspirational. Her positive contribution was not only appreciated by her teammates but also by the opponents.

As we look forward to Week 9, the spirit of friendly competition continues. With only two weeks of matches left, we encourage anyone thinking about joining us to come along and experience the joy of social netball. It’s not just about keeping active and developing your netball skills, it's about the friendships made and the camaraderie shared in a supportive, fun-filled environment.
