Play in the Worcester Monday social netball League

The welcoming atmosphere of Perdiswell Leisure Centre set the stage for an enjoyable evening of social netball. It was Week 1 of the season, and the centre buzzed with eager anticipation. The fantastic mix of new and returning players, from all walks of life and experience levels, were ready for a great night of netball camaraderie and friendly competition. The evening marked the exciting beginning of a new social netball season, with players keen to get back into the swing of the game.

In the Division 1 group, the Court Queens and Goal Bladders had a closely-matched game, finishing with a score of 11-10 in favour of the Goal Bladders. The game was a testament to their camaraderie, sportsmanship, and positive energy. Similarly, Manic Mondays and No Direction showed a strong commitment and great teamwork throughout their match, which ended 19-11 for No Direction. Worcester Sauces and Weakest Link exhibited great spirit and enthusiasm during their game, which saw Worcester Sauces achieving a score of 28-10.

Moving on to the Division 2 group, Perdiswell Shooters and Worcester Wonders played a spirited game, with Perdiswell Shooters wrapping up the match with a score of 12-5. Worcester Ladies and The Oak Apple Catchers showed commendable teamwork and sportsmanship, ending the game 7-5 to Worcester Ladies. Wildcats and Hot Shots topped off the evening with a really enjoyable game that concluded with a score of 7-6 for Wildcats.

A special mention goes out to Amy Jeffries from Wildcats, who was named as the Most Valued Player of the week. Her enthusiasm, agile movement around the court, and positive contribution were appreciated not just by her teammates, but by opponents as well. Her infectious energy truly embodies the spirit of Back to Netball.

Looking ahead to Week 2, we're excited for another evening of friendly social netball. So, let's keep active, meet new people, and continue developing our netball skills in this supportive environment.
