As Week 10 of the season unfolded, Perdiswell Leisure Centre was once again filled with laughter, camaraderie and the unmistakable sound of bouncing balls as another evening of social netball got underway. It was a night where players of all experience levels came together, creating a warming, welcoming atmosphere that exemplified the spirit of social netball.
The first game of the evening saw The Oak Apple Catchers and Worcester Ladies sharing the court. The game ended with The Oak Apple Catchers securing 8 points, and Worcester Ladies adding 2 points to their record. A game marked by exceptional teamwork, unwavering commitment, and an abundance of positive energy, it was a pleasure to watch and a testament to the spirit of social netball.
Next up in a closely contested match, Weakest Link and No Direction ended their game in a friendly draw with 7 points each, demonstrating the fun and excitement of social netball.
Rounding up the Division 2 games we saw Perdiswell Shooters play Worcester Wonders in another exciting game which ended with Perdiswell Shooters scoring 11 points and Worcester Wonders 4 points.
Next, we had an evenly matched engagement between the Hot Shots and Wildcats, with both teams showcasing their skills and sportsmanship throughout the game. The game concluded with both teams scoring 8 points, reflecting an evenly matched and well-played game.
In the fifth game of the night, the Goal Bladders and Worcester Sauces displayed impressive team synergy. Worcester Sauces finished the game with 12 points thanks to a combination of brilliant play and great teamwork. Goal Bladders, meanwhile, put up a spirited performance and ended the game with 8 points.
The final game of the evening saw Court Queens and Manic Mondays sharing the court. The game ended with Court Queens securing 14 points, and Manic Mondays adding a commendable 8 points to their record. A game marked by exceptional teamwork, unwavering commitment, and an abundance of positive energy, it was a pleasure to watch and a testament to the spirit of social netball.
The evening saw a special mention for Annie Wood from No Direction, who was named our Most Valued Player of the week. Annie's energetic movement around the court, infectious enthusiasm, and positive contribution was appreciated by everyone, both teammates and opponents alike.
As the season draws to a close, we would like to acknowledge the Worcester Sauces from Division 1 and Weakest Link from Division 2 for their wonderful performances throughout the season. Their commitment to the sport and team spirit has been exceptional.
