Play in the Worcester Monday social netball League

It was another heartening week at the Perdiswell Leisure Centre as Week 7 of our social netball season unfolded. The evening was filled with camaraderie, cheers, and a welcoming atmosphere that truly encapsulates the spirit of our community. Players of all experience levels basked in the joy of the game, celebrating each point with infectious enthusiasm.

In the Division 1 group, the Goal Bladders and the Court Queens shared a harmonious match that ended with the Court Queens gathering 10 points, while the Goal Bladders secured 4 points. Both teams showcased remarkable teamwork, commitment and sportsmanship throughout the game, creating an unforgettable netball experience.

Hot Shots and Worcester Sauces, also from Division 1, played an energetic match. The Worcester Sauces concluded the game with a score of 23-6. The positive energy on the court was palpable, a testament to the enjoyable competitive spirit of the players.

The Manic Mondays and Wildcats game was another testament to the love for the sport, with Manic Mondays finishing with a score of 19-6. Every point was met with applause, affirming the uplifting and supportive atmosphere.

In Division 2, Perdiswell Shooters and No Direction, locked in a spirited game, with No Direction closing with a score of 16-7. The Oak Apple Catchers and Worcester Wonders also shared an enthusiastic game, concluding with the Oak Apple Catchers gathering 11 points and the Worcester Wonders securing 6. Lastly, Weakest Link and Worcester Ladies played a close-knit game, with Worcester Ladies finishing with a 10-8 score.

Week 7 was made even more memorable by Mary Clifton of Worcester Ladies, who was recognised as the Most Valued Player. Her enthusiasm, movement around the court, and positivity contributed significantly to the overall atmosphere, earning appreciation from both her teammates and opponents.

As we look ahead to Week 8, we eagerly anticipate another evening of friendly social netball. With opportunities to stay active, meet new people, and develop netball skills in a supportive environment, our community continues to thrive. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Perdiswell Leisure Centre for another week of camaraderie and spirited competition.
