Worcester Monday Night Netball Update 8th September

The inaugural week of the highly anticipated Worcester Monday Night Netball kicked off with electrifying clashes. We saw some of the finest teams in the area go head-to-head, with promised non-stop action, and it did not disappoint!

The season opener began with a great performance from the Court Queens, who took on Worcester Wildcats, and won with a 16-1 victory. Meanwhile, Goal Bladders managed to secure a narrow win over Worcester Sauces, ending the intense game at 7-6.

The highlight of the night was arguably the Worcester Ladies' 17-1 win over Hot Shots, setting the league alight with their astounding scoring prowess. The Manic Mondays also put up a stellar performance against the Weakest Link with a scoreline of 16-4. The day ended with No Direction beating Perdiswell Shooters, rounding off the game at 14-6.

The standout player of the week was undoubtedly Jessica Jones from Weakest Link. Despite her team's loss, Jones shone on the court with her incredible agility and tactical acumen.

As the season progresses, all eyes will continue to be on the teams. The riveting performances in week one have set high expectations for the rest of the season. With the bar set, it will be interesting to see which team will rise to the challenge and which individual players will stand out in the coming weeks.
