The Worcester Monday Netball came to an exciting and celebratory close this week, marking the end of ten weeks of fantastic netball. Worcester Sauces and Goal Bladders finished the season on a high, taking top spots in Division 1 and Division 2 after a series of great performances.
In Division 1, Worcester Sauces rounded off their campaign with a 17–7 win over No Direction, capping off an impressive season that saw them build momentum week after week. Their teamwork, consistency, and positive energy on court made them a joy to watch. In another match, Court Queens delivered a confident performance to secure a 17–4 victory over Hot Shots. We also saw Manic Mondays take on the Wildcats which ended with Manic Mondays securing a 16-7 win.
Division 2 also provided plenty of highlights, with Goal Bladders sealing the title following a well-earned 10–4 win against Perdiswell Shooters. It’s been a fantastic effort across the season, with the team showing great commitment and teamwork throughout. Oak Apple Catchers also enjoyed a close and hard-fought 9–7 win over Worcester Wonders, in a match full of determination from both sides. The Weakest Link also had a strong finish to the season, securing an 18–6 win over Worcester Ladies and showcasing great teamwork and spirit.
A special mention goes to Becki Whiting, who was named Most Valued Player of the week. Her excellent all-round performance and influence on the game played a key role in her team’s success.
After a season filled with competitive matches, steady improvement, and plenty of memorable moments, all teams can take pride in their efforts. Congratulations to Worcester Sauces and Goal Bladders on their achievements, and to every team for contributing to such an enjoyable and successful season. With such a great standard on display, there’s lots to look forward to next time around.
