As the Worcester Monday Netball League rolled into its ninth week, the tension was palpable, where teams battled for supremacy on the courts.
Manic Mondays proved too strong for Worcester Ladies, posting an impressive 8-5 win, while the battle between Hot Shots and Worcester Sauces saw the Sauces pull off a 14-9 victory - the highest scoring match of the week.
The action continued with Perdiswell Shooters taking on The Oak Apple Catchers. The Shooters managed to outpace The Catchers, posting a 7-4 victory. The Shooters' consistency and team play shone through as they expertly navigated through The Catchers' defence.
In a gripping encounter between No Direction and Weakest Link, both teams walked off the court with honours even as the match ended in an 8-8 stalemate. The seesaw battle saw both teams pushing each other to their limits, proving why they are considered among the top contenders.
The Goal Bladders had a rough night against the Worcester Wildcats, as the Wildcats secured a 9-3 win.
The star of the week, however, was Kirsty Chapman from Court Queens. Chapman's exceptional skills and performance on the court earned her the much-deserved title of the Most Valued Player of the week. Her agility, accuracy, and adept understanding of the game were a sight to behold.
As we approach the business end of the season, the night continues to showcase an exciting blend of competition and talent. The top scorers from each team have certainly left an indelible mark on the season, setting the stage for an electrifying finish. Stay tuned for more action-packed netball in the coming weeks.
