In a spectacular display of athleticism and sportsmanship, the second week of the Worcester Monday Netball season saw enthralling performance across all teams. Court Queens put up an extraordinary performance against the Perdiswell Shooters, finishing the game with a score of 22-3. Manic Mondays followed suit, demonstrating their prowess on the court with a 22-4 victory over The Oak Apple Catchers.
Meanwhile, Hot Shots savoured a clean 5-0 win against Weakest Link, showcasing their exceptional defensive tactics. Goal Bladders and Worcester Ladies engaged in a nail-biting contest, ending with the former emerging victorious with a 6-point lead. The Worcester Wildcats faced a tough match against Worcester Sauces, putting up a brave fight but ultimately falling short with a final score of 6-13.
The highlight of the evening, however, was the outstanding performance by Maria Mihajlovic from Court Queens, who was named the most valued player of the week. Mihajlovic's performance was a masterclass in netball, demonstrating incredible agility, precision, and an uncanny ability to read the game. Her contribution to the team's victory was undeniable and proved integral to their winning strategy.
