Worcester Monday Netball Update 11th May

Week 2 of the Worcester Monday Netball brought another fantastic evening of competitive and entertaining matches, with teams across both divisions showing great determination, teamwork and spirit on court.

In Division 1, Court Queens secured a 14-8 win over Wildcats in an enjoyable and closely contested game. A standout performance from Jacqueline Bowley, who was named this week’s Most Valued Player, played a key role in helping her side earn the victory. Worcester Sauces also put in an impressive display to overcome Manic Mondays 12-8 in a well-fought match between two committed teams.

Goal Bladders produced one of the standout performances of the evening, earning a 17-3 victory over Hot Shots and finishing as Division 1’s top scorers for the week. Both teams continued to show great effort and positivity throughout the game.

Division 2 also delivered plenty of excitement, beginning with a tightly contested 7-7 draw between Worcester Ladies and No Direction, where both sides battled hard from start to finish. Weakest Link followed with a solid 10-6 win over Worcester Wonders in another competitive fixture.

The closest game of the night came between Perdiswell Shooters and The Oak Apple Catchers, with Perdiswell Shooters edging a thrilling contest 14-13 to become Division 2’s highest scorers of the week. It was a fantastic match that highlighted the competitive nature of the division.

As the season heads into Week 3, teams are continuing to build momentum and confidence, while players across both divisions are producing some excellent performances. With such a positive and competitive start to the season, there is plenty more exciting netball to look forward to in the weeks ahead.
