Last Monday evening saw a fantastic display of camaraderie and sportsmanship at the Perdiswell Leisure Centre. Week 8 of the social netball season was filled with positive energy as players from various experience levels came together for a fun-filled evening of netball action.
In the first match of Division 1, Court Queens and Manic Mondays showcased great teamwork and perseverance. The game ended with Court Queens scoring 26 and Manic Mondays scoring 13. It was an evening of shared laughter, friendly competition and an overall spirit of enjoyment. In another game, Wildcats scored 15 against the Hot Shots who displayed a passionate performance, finishing with 2 on the scoreboard. The match between Worcester Sauces and Goal Bladders was a nail-biter, ending with an 8-10 score in favour of Goal Bladders.
Divison 2 also had its share of thrilling games. No Direction and Weakest Link finished with scores of 3 and 6 respectively. Worcester Ladies and The Oak Apple Catchers played an exciting match, ending with a close score of 11 to 13 in favour of the Oak Apple Catchers. Meanwhile, Worcester Wonders and Perdiswell Shooters had a dynamic game, finishing with a score of 10-13.
This week, we would like to recognise the Most Valued Player, Becki Whiting from The Oak Apple Catchers. Becki has shown enthusiasm and impressive movement around the court. Her positive contribution to the game, appreciated by teammates and opponents alike, truly embodies the spirit of social netball.
Looking ahead to Week 9, we anticipate another evening of friendly social netball. We encourage everyone to come along and participate in this supportive and fun environment. With two weeks of matches left, it's the perfect time for anyone thinking about joining to come along and try social netball. Whether you're looking to keep active, meet new people, or develop your netball skills, the social netball evenings at Perdiswell Leisure Centre will welcome you with open arms.
