Worcester Monday Netball League - Week 8

In an enthralling week 8 of the Worcester Monday Netball league, divisional teams showcased their skills with some exceptional, competitive play.

In Division 1, the Court Queens reigned supreme over Worcester Sauces with a convincing 20-11 win, solidifying their position at the top. Jacqueline Bowley of the Court Queens was singled out for her exceptional performance, earning the title of Most Valuable Player of the Week. Her dominant presence on the court contributed significantly to the Queens' victory. Meanwhile, the Wildcats showed their prowess with a 16-6 triumph over No Direction, leaving them licking their wounds. Nevertheless, the biggest upset in this division was Hot Shots’ unexpected fall to Manic Mondays, who claimed the game with a striking 17-4 scoreline.

Division 2 was no less thrilling. Goal Bladders narrowly edged out Worcester Ladies in a hard-fought 9-6 victory. Similarly, Perdiswell Shooters just managed to scrape through with an 8-7 win over The Oak Apple Catchers, in what could be termed as one of the most nail-biting finishes of this season.

With only two weeks left in the season, all teams are fiercely vying for a strong finish. The top-scoring teams of each division, namely Court Queens and Goal Bladders, have already secured their spots for the next season. However, the competition is far from over and the remaining games promise to deliver equally exciting action.

As we head into the penultimate week of the Worcester Monday Netball league, the stakes have never been higher. Will this week's victors continue their winning streak or will there be unexpected turnarounds? Stay tuned for more exciting Netball action.
