Congratulations to the winners of this season in Gloucester, Pitch Slap, and to the runners-up, Block It Like It’s Hot. A huge well done as well to Frankie Anderson, who was crowned this season’s Most Valued Player.
The Gloucester Sunday Netball League’s 14-week season came to an exciting conclusion, with the league providing a competitive and closely fought final week of fixtures.
Throw And Go and Ball Of Fame played out a balanced contest, finishing with a 10–10 draw that reflected the evenly matched nature of both teams. Elsewhere, Pitch Slap delivered a dominant performance against Ball Busters, securing a convincing 17–2 win and rounding off an impressive season.
Block It Like It’s Hot also finished strongly, overcoming Goal Diggers with a 17–7 victory to secure second place in the league standings.
At the end of the season, Pitch Slap were confirmed as champions of the league, finishing with 28 points from 14 wins. Their consistency and teamwork throughout the season set them apart and earned them a well-deserved title.
As the season comes to a close, congratulations go to all teams and players who took part and contributed to another enjoyable and competitive year of netball in Gloucester. We look forward to seeing everyone back on court next season.
