GLOUCESTER – The Gloucester Sunday Netball League got underway last night as the new season began, with teams taking to the court for the first round of fixtures.

In the League, the opening match saw Throw And Go face Net Ninjas, finishing in a 5–5 draw. Both sides played with good structure and consistency, setting a positive tone for the season ahead. Similar results followed, with Block It Like Its Hot drawing 5–5 with Ball Of Fame, and Pitch Slap sharing the points in a 5–5 draw against Goal Diggers.

Across the matches, all teams showed solid teamwork and commitment. Leading scorers from each side contributed well, helping their teams secure balanced results in what proved to be a closely matched opening week.

The first round of fixtures in the League suggests a competitive and enjoyable season ahead, with teams evenly matched and plenty still to play for. We look forward to seeing how the season develops over the coming weeks.
