In the heart of our community at Norton Canes High School, Week 7 of the social netball season unfolded on a beautifully pleasant evening. Friends, families, and spirited players of every skill level came together to revel in an atmosphere of camaraderie and sportsmanship, sharing a delightful night of netball.
The first match of the Division 1 group saw Shot Callers and Kiss My Pass showcase an impressive level of commitment and sportsmanship. With a final score of 19-11 favoring Kiss My Pass, the game was played in high spirits and brimmed with positive energy.
In the second match, Sista Squad and Cheeky Chasers brought a wave of enthusiasm and teamwork to the court. Despite the score ending at 15-5 in favor of the Cheeky Chasers, the match was filled with vivacity and friendly competition, exemplifying the true essence of social netball.
Division 2's matches were no less exciting. Hoop There It Is and Chasers ended their game with a score of 15-7, demonstrating mutual respect and camaraderie. Equally engaging was the match between Netball Ninjas and Burntwood Netters, which concluded in an uplifting 11-11 draw. The evening closed with a match between Hoop Dogz and The Pink Ladies, ending at a score of 17-12 with a great sense of team spirit.
This week's Most Valued Player honor went to Martha Baugh from The Pink Ladies. Martha's infectious enthusiasm was evident throughout her performance, her deft movements across the court, and her positive contributions were appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.
As we look forward to Week 8, we anticipate another fun-filled evening of social netball where we continue to keep active, meet new people, and develop our netball skills within this supportive environment. This community event continues to be more than just a game; it's a celebration of friendship, teamwork, and the joy of sport.
