As the sun set over Norton Canes High School, the third week of social netball lit up the evening with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Players of all experience levels, from seasoned veterans to eager beginners, came together for another enjoyable night of one of the most inclusive sports out there.
The first match of the evening saw Cheeky Chasers and Burntwood Beaters from Division 1 put their skills to the test. With a score of 19-12, Burntwood Beaters finished the game ahead. Despite the score, both teams displayed outstanding teamwork, with radiant smiles clearly showing they had a great time on court.
Next up, Shot Callers and Pocket Rockets, also from Division 1, served up a thrilling game. The final whistle blew at a close score of 11-10 in favor of Shot Callers. The match was brimming with sportsmanship, commitment, and positive energy which clearly demonstrates the true spirit of the game.
Turning to Division 2, Burntwood Netters and The Pink Ladies really brought their A-game. With a final score of 9-6 in favor of Burntwood Netters, the game was enjoyed by all and played in superb spirit. Another match in the same division saw Chasers up against Netball Ninjas, with Chasers completing the match 11-5. Lastly, the game between Hoop There It Is and Hoop Dogz ended with a score of 14-7 in favor of Hoop Dogz. All teams in Division 2 showed great commitment and it was noticeable how everyone enjoyed playing together in a friendly environment.
A special mention goes out to Demi Fereday from Hoop There It Is, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Demi's enthusiasm was infectious and her dynamic movement around the court was admired by both teammates and opponents alike. Her positive contribution added greatly to the evening's warm atmosphere.
