The Burntwood Wednesday netball league delivered another riveting week of action, leaving spectators and participants alike buzzing with adrenaline. Week 18 brought forth high-level competition, surprising upsets, and stellar performances in the League.

Sista Squad and Lightening Strikers engaged in a tense back-and-forth tussle that ended in a 12-12 deadlock, proving once again that the League is a hotbed of closely matched teams and thrilling competition. Meanwhile, Kiss My Pass edged out Netball Ninjas 12-9 in a fiercely contested match-up, underlining their credentials as real league contenders.

Elsewhere, Pocket Rockets lived up to their explosive name, soaring past Hoop There It Is with a commanding 9-2 victory. The Pink Ladies and Hoop For The Best also served up a captivating display, with the latter team securing a tight 7-4 win.

However, the standout performance of the week came from Bloxwich Beaters, who put on a masterclass in attacking netball to overwhelm Hoop Dogz 24-12. Chasers also had a reason to celebrate as they narrowly triumphed over Burntwood Stars 9-8 in a nail-biter.

The most valued player accolade was deservedly awarded to Sophie Balloch from Sista Squad. Balloch's sublime performance was a masterclass in skill, athleticism, and poise, reminding spectators why she is one of the most respected players in the League.

With top scorers from each team continuing to display high scoring prowess, the netball league promises more excitement in the coming weeks.
