Burntwood Wednesday Netball - Week 5

The high-octane Burntwood Wednesday Netball league continued into its fifth week, with some riveting performances across both divisions. Thrills, spills, and athletic prowess were on full display as the teams battled it out in the two divisions, Division 1 and Division 2.

In Division 1, it was an eventful night with Sista Squad securing their win against Shot Callers with an impressive 20-9 score, demonstrating their formidable prowess on the court. Swamp Donkeys and Burntwood Beaters, on the other hand, had a neck-to-neck clash with Swamp Donkeys just edging out Burntwood Beaters 20-18 in a heart-stopping encounter. The remarkable performance of the night, however, came from Kiss My Pass, who pulled off a stunning 32-5 victory over Chasers.

Division 2 was equally exhilarating. Lightening Strikers dominated the court against Hoop There It Is, winning 29-4. The thrilling match between Netball Ninjas and Hoop Dogz saw the former emerge victorious with a score of 16-11. Pocket Rockets displayed some excellent teamwork and strategy, overpowering The Pink Ladies with a 16-7 win.

The star player of the week was none other than Nicola Miskelly from Chasers. Despite the team's loss, Miskelly's performance was exceptional, earning her the title of the Most Valued Player of the week.

With this week's action-packed performances, the Burntwood Wednesday Netball league continues to keep players on the edge of their seats, proving that netball, when played at this level, is every bit as thrilling as any other sport.

The top scorers for Division 1 were the formidable Kiss My Pass, while in Division 2, Lightening Strikers dominated the scoreboard. Both teams are showcasing impressive performances, and they set the stage for an exciting season finale.

As we move into the sixth week, all eyes will be on these teams, and the question on everyone's mind is, can anyone challenge these top scorers? Only time will tell.
