In a stunning display of athleticism and team spirit, the final week of the Burntwood Wednesday Netball league produced some exceptional results that kept spectators on edge right until the final whistle.
In Division 1, the competition was fierce. Chasers were outperformed by Kiss My Pass, with the latter team scoring a decisive 27 - 4. Burntwood Beaters edged out Swamp Donkeys in a pulse-pounding match, ending with a narrow 14 - 12 on the scoreboard. Sista Squad triumphed over Shot Callers, securing a 14 - 10 victory.
After ten intense weeks of strategy, sweat and teamwork, Swamp Donkeys emerged as the ultimate victors of Division 1. With an impressive tally of 18 points and a remarkable 9 wins, they proved their dominance in the face of spirited opposition.
Meanwhile, Division 2 showcased its own share of drama. Lightening Strikers outshone Hoop There It Is with a convincing 20 - 3 win. A closer game saw Hoop Dogz edge out Netball Ninjas 14 -11. Pocket Rockets blasted past The Pink Ladies, finishing strong with an 18 - 7 victory.
Lightening Strikers reigned supreme in Division 2, amassing a total of 20 points and 10 wins, a fitting end to a fiercely competitive season.
Standout player Olivia Hall of the Burntwood Beaters demonstrated exceptional skill and sportsmanship, earning her the title of Most Valued Player of the week. Olivia's performance was a highlight in a week of high-octane netball that concluded the season on an exceptional note.
