Bromsgrove Wednesday YouPlay Netball League News 2026-01-07

All the latest news from your local Social Netball League, straight from North Bromsgrove High School! 

The Bromsgrove Wednesday Netball League bounced back into action this week, and what a great way to kick off the new season! With plenty of smiles, teamwork, and lively play across the courts, it was a brilliant evening of social netball fun.

Net Chixs got the night rolling against Hoops I Did It Again in an energetic opener, finishing with a 10–5 win. Both teams brought enthusiasm and determination, setting a positive tone for the season ahead and showing there’s lots more netball fun to come.

Next up, Hoops A Daisies met Game Of Throws in a match full of movement and great linking play, with Game Of Throws taking a 16–5 win. Strong teamwork and communication were on display throughout, making it a really enjoyable game to watch.

Sweaty Betty’s and Bromsgrove Snatchers followed with a fast-paced and friendly contest that kept everyone entertained. Sweaty Betty’s came away with a 20–12 win, but both teams showed great spirit, support, and plenty of laughs on court.

Rounding off the evening, A Little Rusty and Bromsgrove Bluebirds shared a closely fought and good-natured match, ending 13–7. A special shoutout goes to Amy Hawthorn from the Bluebirds, who picked up this week’s Most Valued Player award for her fantastic effort and positive impact on the game 

With week one wrapped up, the season is already shaping up to be full of fun, friendships, and feel-good netball moments. We can’t wait to see everyone back on court for week two!
